Why I support socially conscious businesses with their Marketing Strategy
Hi, I’m Bonny and I’m on a journey to equip 'green' business leaders with the Marketing strategy they need to make a positive impact on our planet. I am an entrepreneur through and through - I always look at what makes a business tick, what the model is, and ultimately, whether it makes money. I’ve been raised in a family speaking business-ese and I love it!
Over the years, I’ve discovered that the two things that really ignite a spark in me are helping people reach their business potential (through marketing, coaching, business strategy) and taking practical actions for climate and the environment (through allotment gardening, litter picking, raising plastic-free awareness, running community events and so on).
As The Marketing Strategist, I am in the fortunate position of being able to bring my two passions together: I combine my 20+ years of marketing experience with my desire to create a more positive future for the planet and the next generation.
I believe that when people come from the heart, doing something they really believe in, they are more likely to attract the kinds of customers who resonate with their bigger mission. This makes marketing a breeze!
How I came to Marketing and why I chose environmentally supportive businesses
Ever since I graduated with a degree in Business Management in 2000, I have leveraged my experience and expertise to help business owners market and build their businesses: I co-founded an award-winning magazine, have generated millions in revenue for my clients, worked client side and agency side. I've been both employer, and employee and a freelance marketing consultant.
Acutely aware that we have less than a decade to turn global warming around before we reach irreversible limits, I bring my skills in Marketing and my passion for the planet together to support eco-business leaders to succeed in their respective markets.
Raised on organic farms in the UK and Australia, Bonny has always been connected to nature - its rhythms, cycles and fragility.
For the past 20+ years, she has lived and breathed business in London and later in the lush green landscape of East Anglia, UK. Ever since she graduated with a degree in Business Management, Bonny has leveraged her experience and expertise to help business owners market and build their businesses: she co-founded an award-winning magazine, and has generated millions in revenue for her clients, worked in-house for clients, in a marketing agency, as an employee and as a marketing consultant.
As well as running the Strategic Marketing Mastermind, Bonny is a Trustee of PACE (Practical Action for Climate and the Environment) Manningtree, and is a Founder of the Manningtree Earth Festival(born in 2022). It was PACE that inspired her to focus her work as The Marketing Strategist in sustainable business. Bonny is also a Founder member of Community Climate Action UK.
When Bonny isn’t working, she can be found wild-swimming in the river Stour with the Manningtree Mermaids, practising yoga, creating pottery (like these raku pots she’s photographing forInstagram), planning her dream net-zero self-build and enjoying time with her two rambunctious boys.
